Say hello to the Baby Rubber Plant—small, sweet, and seriously adorable.

Also known as Peperomia Obtusifolia, this little cutie brings charm with its thick, glossy, round leaves that are full of personality. It’s compact, easygoing, and fits perfectly on desks, shelves, or anywhere you want a pop of green without the fuss.

It loves moderate, indirect light and just needs a drink when the top inch of soil feels dry. Super low-maintenance and happy in most indoor spots, the Baby Rubber Plant is perfect for anyone who wants an easy, stylish plant that doesn’t ask for much but gives a lot in return.

Care Tips

Light

Indoors: Most plants thrive in bright, indirect light. Place them near a window with natural sunlight, but keep them out of direct afternoon rays unless they’re sun-loving. If the leaves start to fade or stretch, they might need more light!

Outdoors: Find a spot with filtered sunlight or partial shade. Some plants enjoy full sun, while others prefer protection—check what your plant prefers.

Water

Check the soil before watering. Stick your finger about 2–3 cm deep—if it feels dry, it’s time to water. For indoor plants, this is usually once a week. Outdoor plants may need more frequent checks, especially in hot weather. Always use pots with drainage to avoid soggy roots.

Humidity

Most houseplants enjoy a bit of humidity. If your home is dry, mist the leaves occasionally or place the pot on a tray with pebbles and water (but don’t let the roots sit in water!).

Fertilizer

Feed your plant once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer. Hold off during fall and winter when most plants rest.

Cleaning & Pruning

Wipe dusty leaves gently with a damp cloth to help them breathe and photosynthesize. Trim any yellowing or dead leaves to keep the plant looking fresh and healthy.

Pot & Soil

Use well-draining soil suitable for your plant type (e.g., cactus mix for succulents, rich soil for leafy greens). Repot once every 1–2 years or when the roots outgrow the pot.
